PACKING PLYWOOD PRODUCTION PROCESS
To create a durable material plywood which has such outstanding advantages and replace and surpass natural wood in certain applications as well, requires a rigorous production process with good technology and raw materials.
Plywood manufacturing process has to obey a very strict technical requirements, select the raw materials carefully to make high quality veneers, then impregnated, dried, glued and hot pressed..... The quality of the product depends on these a lot. In addition, to make high quality plywood also requires the careful, enthusiastic and skillful workers.
Therefore, despite the same production technology, the quality of plywood between the factories are not the same.
We will briefly introduce the most basic Plywood manufacturing process from which you will know how to produce a plywood.
- A log is peeled and cut into required length logs.
- Put logs into wood peeling machine to make veneers
- Veneers will be dried and sorted by quality to be used in different purposes.
- Thin dried veneers will be glued, put layer by layer according to technical standards to create a plywood sheet in required thickness. After that, it will be put in hot press machine.
- Completed plywood sheet will be cut to the specified size. The characteristics of packaging plywood: For the glue making packing plywood isn’t waterproof (MR glue), packing plywood is usually used as indoor material, it’s not suitable to used as outdoor material in a long time. Do not place packing plywood in wet and high humidity.
Packing plywood is also divided into many different grades, but usually there are two popular grade are AB grade, BC grade.
The two levels AB and BC are similar in their structure, but the difference is the face veneer. For AB grade, it is glued by a thin veneer on face, this help AB grade packing plywood looks smooth and good looking. However, BC grade has cheaper price. Therefore, choosing AB grade or BC grade belongs to different purposes of user.
